An updated version of the Subaru Forester will go on sale on April. The facelifted looks inside and out are accompanied by improvements to the car’s safety, convenience, comfort and refinement.
The most obvious changes are to the front of the car, which now sports a revised grille and an updated bumper, while the headlights have a new black base paint finish, and the rear lights are LED units. Inside, the updates to the cabin are designed to make it look and feel more modern and higher in quality. As a result, the interior is finished with more soft-touch materials, as well as new piano black and metallic trim, while the displays have higher-resolution screens. At the same time, Subaru has tried to make the cabin more refined, fitting thicker glass in the door windows that will limit the amount of noise entering the car. The door seals are new, too, while there is also more soundproofing material in the dashboard. Last, but not least, Subaru has tweaked the suspension and steering to improve the car’s ride and handling. However, the engine range remains unaltered – 2.0-litre petrol and diesel units with 148- and 145bhp respectively, as well as a turbocharged petrol engine with 238bhp. All come with Subaru’s all-wheel-drive system.
