Launched at the Geneva Motor Show, the new XV sits on the same underpinnings as the latest Impreza, and Subaru says this will mean enhanced comfort, agility and refinement on the road. This isn’t designed as a luxury machine though; the styling is rugged and aggressive, and an all-wheel drive system should make it capable away from the tarmac, unlike some of its rivals. Cars like the Nissan Qashqai and the Honda CR-V have SUV stylings, but are resolutely road-focused.
